Palaruvi means milky waterfalls or the stream of milk cascading down the hills. The water falls down from a height of 300 meters amidst the blue hills and the green forests underneath. This makes a spell binding and enthralling scene. This is due to the milky white burst of foam which hits the ground as it falls down The water is supposed to have curative properties and the Ayurvedic physicians prescribe a bath in the water as a treatment.
